Clifford  Parish Council is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

The website is built using WordPress and was developed by Eyelid Productions Limited.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard.

Non-accessible content

Some parts of the website are not fully accessible, including:

  • Older PDF documents (such as agendas and minutes) which may not be fully accessible to screen readers
  • Some images may not include appropriate alternative (alt) text
  • Some older content may not meet current accessibility standards

The council considers it a disproportionate burden to fully remediate all historic documents, but accessible versions will be provided on request where reasonably practicable.

What the council is doing to improve accessibility

The Council is:

  • Reviewing content before publication to improve accessibility
  • Publishing new documents in accessible formats wherever possible
  • Improving alternative text for images
  • Working with the website developer where appropriate to address accessibility issues
