Thank you to all who attended the lighting of the Clifford beacon as part of the D-Day 80 commemorations. The collection raised £93.58 which is going to the work of The Normandy Memorial Trust who look after The Normandy Memorial which looks out over Gold beach where British troops landed 80 years ago. Thanks also to St Edward’s and St Luke’s churches for ringing their bells as part of the national ringing out for peace.
